Geek Cast Live S2E43: Chamber Band and Chamber Fans

image

This week the Geek Cast crew united once again, sans Nic the Necromancer as he is performing some ritual in New Vegas. In the open segment shenanigans is had, and the casting of Negan is discussed. In the main segment we are united with one of our more favorite bands recently, Chamber Band! We laughed, we cried, and Ryan even sang a song for us.

  1. Yo yo yo fellas….
All I have to say is that Nico better have some sweet-ass LoLam pics!! I’m thinkin’ Nico, DubL and that native American dude…cozy on a bitchin’ hog, makin’ like they’re just about to take down some bounties. The only thing that could make that better, IMO, is if you could somehow work in Michael Dudikoff and a ninja or MD as a ninja.

Who am I trying to kid, I’ve got more to say. Chris Littler sounds hilarious, at least every third word he says seems hilarious. It’s too bad one end of his interwebs connection is a rusty Campbells soup can with a string coming out of it. 🙂

Ellen was cool too. Great to hear some cool kids from a cool band. Nice.

So, in the early bits of the episode, I couldn’t help but think of a scenario where Charles Merriam was talking to Noah Webster saying, “Well, good sir, what shall we include in this year’s edition…you knowest, to spicen it up a bit?”
NH: “I hear tale that there are four chaps in the Indiana territory that have taken to using ‘Tron’.”
CM: “While I doth agree that tis a great word, that’s not the biggest of deals, good Noah, we’ve already include it in our lexiconic tome.”
NH: “True, but these good fellows have turned it to a VERB!!!”
CM: (in high pitched tone) “Whaaaaaaaaatt!!!!” (now with much exuberance) “I lllllooovve it!!!!” 🙂

    Great show, fellas,

  2. Sorry, homies, but I’ve a postscript to my original comments 🙂 ….

I’m here at work, supposed to be figuring out this effin’ payable account reconciliation….big fun….and I just listened to the ep and thought, I should check out some of what’s been recommended.

Looks like a ton of stuff is free at Atomic-Robo.com, sweetness. I’m definitely checkin it out. It looks strong.

Also, Ellen’s solo stuff is nice. I hear the Regina Spektor influence, for sure. But I like hot, Russian piano players, so the solo tracks Ellen’s got available are cool. 🙂 So I second the notion of people going to her site ellenwintermakesthings.com.

Anyway, I should think about doin’ some work.

    Later
